Day 1 - 2 Reflections
- Padlet Instructions
- Dropbox
- Give edit access on dropbox.com
- Sign in to dropbox.com.
- Hover your cursor over the folder you want to share.
- Click the blue Share button that appears.
- Enter the email addresses of people who need edit access to the folder.
- Select Can edit from the pull-down menu.
- Add a message about the files and click Share.

Downloading FREE Apps
- Download - iTune

- Try to find at least two books and post.
- Refer to the instructions below for additional help.
- Download a free song, TV episode, app, or book. To find free items, look under Quick Links on the right side of the iTunes Store window for any link that includes the word "free." When you find a free item, click Get beneath its icon.
- When you're asked to sign in with an Apple ID, click Create Apple ID.
- Follow the onscreen instructions. When you're asked for payment information, choose None as the payment type. See what to do if None isn't showing or you can't select it.
- After you enter your information, you're asked to verify your Apple ID by email. You must verify your Apple ID before you can begin using it. Didn't receive the email?

Directions:
Choose one of the above screenrecording witheboards.
Create a step by step Math tutorial for students (choose a grade level) or a tutorial that showcasing you favorite iPad app, you want your students to start using (take screenshots of your app to be included in tutorial)
Your tutorial should not be longer than 3 minutes

With SchowmeApp: Share the tutorial clip by uploading it to ShowMeApp.com from within the app. You will need to create an account when prompted.
With ScreenChomp: send it to the "cloud"after recording is complete, you will receive a unique URL (Web address). Please note (copy) that URL and email it to me. I will share the link on the Wiki's example page.

Directions: Choose a physical object (book, building, poster, art work, model, map, etc.) and create (with another app) or find a virtual connection. This could be an audio file, a movie, a website, google map, etc. Using the QR Generator create a QR code.

Email me the QR Code as an image (take a screenshot) pointing to an image, audio file, video, website or product you created. Please include a short summary of what the QR is pointing to and how you would use it with your students.

Directions:
1. Brainstorm a theme or topic for the game/interactive book. Think about what can you learn from photos?What kind of skills do you want users to practice? Vocabulary? Target language?
2. Create a flowchart/storyboard for your story/images.
3. Find, choose or take your own images. Keep in mind areas that you want users to recognize, match, find, select or discover something.
4. Import images.
5. Choose a book cover image and record a “question”, inviting the user to play and learn with the book. Trace the entire image as the correct area. Users will have to tap the screen to start the game/book. The image automatically advances to the next page when tapped on.
6. Create multiple pages that increase in skill level, offer diverse practice opportunities, include a complementary content area or combine different approaches to practice skills.
7. Record several questions for each image and add positive responses as well as a “try again”type responses.

Directions:
- Brainstorm a storyline for your book. Keep in mind the vocabulary, grammar structures, sight words, etc. you would like to use.
- Import or take images for your story.
- Create pages by adding an image and text
- Customize words and sounds: Record your voice reading the text. Manually slide the words to their place in the recording.
- Customize Picture Highlights: Add “highlights” to areas of the image, add text and record the text.
- Share: Take screenshots of individual pages and email them to me. Please label each email with the title of your book and the page number.

Directions:
- Decide on the vocabulary, terms or definitions you would like to represent on your page(s).
- Find and save images to your iPad (think Public Domains or Creative Commons) or take your own images with the iPad’s built in camera.
- Add the chosen images to a Pic Collage page.
- Choose a background (choose from existing backgrounds or search on web).
- Edit the images by “clipping the photo”, resizing and rotating the object.
- Add text to each object (ex. target language vocabulary, science definition, math terms, sight words,etc.).
- Save image in your Photo Album.
- Add a new album > name your album “Your Name’s Dictionary”.
- Add your dictionary page image into your new album.
