Microsoft IT Academy - Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Access
In the first part of this class students will learn to use Microsoft® Office Excel 2013® as an effective tool for organizing, analyzing and presenting data. Students will learn how to enter data; move, copy and edit cells; construct tables and charts; and create and apply basic mathematical functions to spreadsheet data. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to create and edit basic Microsoft® Office Excel® 2013 worksheets and workbooks.
In the second part of this class students will learn how to create and work with a database and its objects by using the new and improved features in newest version of Microsoft Access. Students will learn how to create, modify, and locate information as well as how to create programmable elements and share and distribute database information. Mathematics is reinforced.

By the end of this course, students should be proficient in the following Microsoft® programs: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access 2013. Students are expected to earn industry-recognized certification in Microsoft Excel 2013 and Microsoft Access 2013. All Honor students must score a minimum of 700 on the MOS Exam and 250 on the Expert exam.
