Volunteers Volunteering is all about the passion you feel toward your chosen cause.
As a small agency, we’re frequently looking for volunteers to help us “get the job done” by putting their talents to work for a great cause.
As a volunteer at The Learning Center, you can use your own personal and professional experience to help accomplish the everyday operational tasks of the organization.
The Learning Center’s volunteers assist with general office work such as filing, organizing and data entry. The need, however, does not end there. We send out mailings several times a year and need assistance with stuffing and sealing envelopes, as well. If you have specialized skills such as computer expertise, graphic design, general maintenance, or organizing, we need you too.
While specific requirements and responsibilities vary by volunteer role, we expect all volunteers to meet the following requirements: * Be at least 17 years old, unless special arrangements have been made beforehand. * Be able to transport themselves to and from the learning center. * Be able and willing to participate in any training required for the volunteer role chosen. * Be able to communicate with learning center staff by phone or email as needed. * Be patient, compassionate, and dedicated to the learning center participants.
