Raleigh, NC 27613 To Whom It May Concern: I have known Lauren Frank for the last three years, having served as her teacher in Multimedia and Web Page Design at Leesville Rd. High School. I believe that Lauren would be an excellent addition to your institution. Lauren is an optimistic and observant young lady. In my class and in her work, she demonstrates that she is an intelligent and accomplished student with great potential. She has always been among the top students in my class. I am confident that she will thrive in any academic program that she pursues. She has had to overcome her epilepsy and do everything she could to maintain her academics and extracurricular actives. She has a varying experiences that has affected her confidence. Last year she had a seizure and fell face first onto the cement that cut her body up really bad, but two days later, she went to school even with her scars. She has gained a lot of confidence as a result of this. She is not particularly concerned about what people think about her, as she is about what they know about her. She is caring, a hard worker and committed to whatever she is involved in. Lauren volunteered at Wake Medical Hospital, because she really does care about others. This is another reason she decided to pursue a degree in Physical or Occupational Therapy. Lauren participated in FCCLA, Make a wish her first year at Leesville. She also helped with the homecoming banners at Leesville Rd. High School. Lauren has volunteered through her church and as a guest ambassador at Wake Medical Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Lauren additional volunteer experience consisted of: Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, where she worked in customer service for a total 10 hours and at Boyce Christmas Tree Farm in customer service for a total of 12 hours. Laurens summer activities consisted of swimming. She enjoys swimming with a passion. Her most outstanding accomplishments during her high school years were the Presidential Service Award and overcoming obstacles related to her epilepsy and concussions. In looking ahead at Lauren’s college years, I am confident that she is ready to tackle the rigorous and challenges of the collegiate level. Lauren is not an individual that will take the least resistant path, but instead she will press forward. She will engage herself into her new community with vitality and enthusiasm.
