Technology Exploration
"Coding for Elementary Students" (Live - Brier Creek)
Students will have an opportunity to explore technology careers while gaining hands on experiments with activities driven to engage them and foster inquiry. Each student will leave with projects to share about their experience. Students will be presented with speakers from various professions related to Engineering. The focus and scope of the program is geared toward STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
Cost:
Students will be introduced to 7 of the 14 areas. The week will not necessarily flow in the order listed below. Nevertheless, students will have an opportunity to create varying models of technology that will allow them to explore the skills needed for varying career professions, use critical thinking to design their prototype, collaborate with their peers, and communicate about their experience.
